The National Open Field Coursing Association (NOFCA) and its thirteen member coursing clubs organize competitions among purebred sighthounds in the natural environment of the game being coursed. Hounds are tested and judged on jackrabbits or any other game approved by NOFCA for the area in which the competition is held. Events are run under the association's Rules and Regulations. All recent coursing events have been held in the western United States, primarily in California and New Mexico.

For information on specific events, consult the schedule, then check the Contacts Page for the individual responsible for the sponsoring club's events. The Superintendent organizes mixed hunts listed as NOFCA Mixed Hunts.

The following breeds are currently recognized as eligible to compete in NOFCA events:
Afghan hound
azawakh
borzoi
greyhound
Ibizan hound
Irish wolfhound
pharaoh hound
saluki
Scottish deerhound
sloughi
